Proposal for the launching event of CutBeer, the First Paper Beer, a paper cut-out collectible in limited and numbered edition, created by well known illustrator Sergio Mora (one of the leading exponents of surrealism pop) and the agency Sofa Experience Communications in the context of the Masters course on Design, Art and Public Space at ELISAVA 2011/2012.
From the company motto Estrella Damm — “The normal can sometimes be extraordinary” — we created an extraordinary event to launch an extraordinary product that comes from a normal and commonplace element: paper.
Creating a fantasy centered around a protagonist, a man that assembles paper toys with his feet, and the freaky circus troup that accompanies him, this fiction was to be disseminated through the internet with the actions of media buzz, generating anticipation and curiosity about the event.
